Energy savings scenario calculator

See the savings potential in every kWh

Enter monthly electricity use, a variable energy-charge price, and your own energy-saving assumption to build a comparable scenario. Results are illustrative, not guaranteed.

Inputs

Site profile
kWh / month

For a two-month bill, divide consumption by 2 before entering a monthly value.

Currency

Currency switching is not live FX. Enter a price in the selected currency.

Defaults are illustrative, not official or current tariffs. Keep the tax basis consistent across inputs.

15%

5–30% is an adjustable scenario range, not a typical result or performance promise.

0%

Used only in the secondary carbon scenario; monetary and kWh outputs are unchanged. Applying an example preserves this value.

Illustrative scenarios

Compare three starting points

These are hypothetical scenarios, not client outcomes or industry-typical figures. Each uses TWD, NT$4/kWh before tax, variable energy charge only, and constant annual use and price. This is not an official tariff.

Method and limits

Every result traces back to your inputs

What formulas are used?

Monthly variable charge = Q × p; monthly savings = Q × p × r; annual values multiply by 12; 3-year gross savings multiply annual savings by 3; annual kWh reduction = Q × r × 12.

Which costs are included?

Variable energy charges only. Basic and demand charges, capex, maintenance, and service fees are excluded, so the 3-year figure is not ROI or net profit.

How should bills and tax be handled?

Divide a two-month bill by 2. Use the same tax basis for the unit price and comparison; examples are explicitly before tax.

Does currency switching convert FX?

No. It changes display formatting, the illustrative default price, and the existing carbon-factor mapping only.

Are load shifting, storage, or renewables included?

No. Load shifting may lower cost without reducing kWh and storage incurs losses. Demand reduction, storage, VPP, and renewable procurement benefits are excluded.

Can the carbon figure be used for reporting?

No. It is a secondary scenario using an existing formula and unverified currency-factor mapping. Source year and REC treatment remain unverified.
